Rodney C. Schonland is the founding principal of Schonland & Associates, P.C. Attorney Schonland concentrates on representing his clients in the areas of OUI defense, restraining orders, debt collection, divorce, real estate transactions, and civil litigation.   

Attorney Schonland is a graduate of Norwich University.  He has an MBA from Suffolk University in Finance.  He is a graduate from the Southern New England School of Law (now known as University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth). After graduation from Norwich University, Attorney Schonland was a helicopter pilot in the Army where he served during the Vietnam War. He received high decorations for his service in the Army.

After four years of military service and before his legal career began, he worked as a freight forwarder/customs house broker at Logan Airport, and thereafter he was employed by Polaroid Corporation, where his responsibilities included the management of the imports and exports for the Corporation. Attorney Schonland worked for Polaroid for nearly 30 years. He was credited with many duty-free trade benefits for Polaroid, which included favorable duty treatment throughout most of the world.

Attorney Schonland has published numerous articles on international trade, and was responsible for a successful Constitutional challenge to Federal Regulations that was ultimately resolved before the United States Supreme Court. He has consulted to several Fortune 500 corporations on international trade matters. He has served on the Board of Fellow for Norwich University and also the Board of Directors for the Suffolk University Alumni Association. He is also a member of several local volunteer organizations and has served on their respective boards.

Attorney Schonland is a member of the Plymouth District Bar Association and the Plymouth County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all Massachusetts courts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court for International Trade, and the United States Court of Appeals for Federal Claims.
